Julie Price Daly joined the Network for College Success in 2012 as a Literacy Coach. Julie helped launch NCS’s first literacy initiative, and currently supports schools and teachers as they implement West Ed’s Reading Apprenticeship Framework with a focus on Disciplinary Literacy. She began her career as a middle school English Language Arts (ELA) and reading teacher, and developed a passion for supporting adolescent students to become confident and successful readers, writers, and thinkers. Since 2008, Julie has had the privilege of working with many Chicago Public Schools teachers as an ELA coach, high school literacy coordinator, and literacy coach. She continues to stay current on literacy and educational research, and present at local and national conferences.
Julie earned an M.Ed from the University of Michigan in Literacy, Language, and Culture with a concentration on adolescent literacy development and professional development for teachers. Julie also holds an M.Ed in Educational Leadership, a Type 75 Certificate, and is a certified teacher in Illinois.
