Honoring the Voices of Young People: Centering Student Voice in Instructional Improvement Webinar
February 23, 11AM-12PM Zoom (Free to all participants!)
This one-hour webinar explores what it truly means to honor young people’s voices as truth—and how school teams can integrate student experience into meaningful instructional change. Drawing on insights from the Network for College Success and real school-based examples, participants will examine the conditions, practices, and adaptive leadership required to lift, interpret, and respond to student voice data in ways that strengthen learning conditions and affirm student identity. Through the lens of PERTS Elevate data, relational coaching, and adaptive work, this session unpacks how teams move from listening to acting, including how to navigate defensiveness, surface limiting beliefs, and co-construct practice shifts with students. Attendees will leave with concrete strategies for centering student voice, cultivating educator self-reflection, and building the relational and structural conditions needed for young people to influence instructional improvement meaningfully and authentically.
