NCS Receives New Funding to Support 15-20 Chicago High Schools

NCS Awarded Grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

The Network for College Success is honored to announce that it will receive funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to significantly increase the number of Black, Latino, and low-income students who are on-track to earn a high school diploma and succeed in a postsecondary institution. NCS is proud to join 19 other organizations across 12 states in this initiative of Networks for School Improvement.

This investment from the Gates Foundation will assist NCS in supporting a network of 15-20 Chicago high schools over the next five years to maximize the abilities, intelligence, and creativity of Chicago's youth. We will do this by building partner schools' capacity to engage in cycles of continuous improvement—testing which student, teacher, and school interventions create the school conditions that support the success of all students.

NCS is grateful to all of our funders and thought partners who continue to support our work. We are excited for this opportunity to deepen our commitment to the school leaders and educators who are determined to cultivate the genius of all our nation's youth.

All questions regarding this award should be directed to Sarah Duncan, NCS Co-Executive Director.
