Date: July 22-26, 2024 
Time: 8:00am to 3:30pm each day
Location: Arturo Velasquez Institute 

*The 26th will be a half day.


DURING THE WORKSHOP, PARTICIPANTS WILL...

  • Build awareness of personal narratives, race, culture, and systemic/institutional factors that produce inequitable outcomes.
  • Engage with texts, structures, tools, ideas, and colleagues in order to develop skills, deepen knowledge, and strategize around individual and team equity-centered work.
  • Build (and be in) community with colleagues across difference for the purpose of building alliances needed to pick up equity-centered work.
The four-day workshop will serve as a learning space to engage in challenging work around identity and leadership as well as an opportunity to explore your impact within your professional community. The deadline to register is Wednesday, June 26th. 

COST & PARTICIPATION

  • Standard Rate: $2,200
  • CPS Educator (non-partner school): $1,200
  • Partner Educators (PSN and FS4E only): $0 for up to 3 registrants total per school for Equity-Based Leadership and/or Leading Professional Learning Communities. Afterwards, cost is $500 per participant.  Please see note below for specific information about which educators can register.
    Example 1: One school registers one educator for LPLC and two for EBL at no cost. 
    Example: 2: One school registers three educators for EBL. A fourth educator registers for LPLC for $500.
    Note: For PSN, only up to three identified coachees (Principal, 9th Grade Lead, and a 2nd Team Lead being coached by NCS) can register. FS4E educators are strongly encouraged to register for Equity-Based Leadership. 
Attendance is required for all five days. All meals and materials will be provided.
