Sarah Howard is the Director of Professional Learning with the UChicago Network for College Success (NCS). Sarah, in collaboration with the Director of Coaching, develops and strengthens the organizational capacity of NCS to support partners to increase student outcomes.
Prior to her current role, she served as Senior Director of the Partner School Network for 5 years in which led and managed all aspects of NCS's partnership with a cohort of Chicago public high schools.  She was also a Leadership Coach with NCS for 10 years, sharing her expertise as a successful and innovative school leader. She provided coaching and professional learning in principal and instructional leadership to educators across the city. 
For more than 30 years, Sarah has been at the vanguard of the Chicago public high school reform movement, dedicating her entire career to ensuring that all students receive the high quality education they deserve. Her extensive experience as an educational leader and pioneer of innovation began when she created a small school-within-a-school at Harper High School. Sarah went on to found and direct the Academy of Communications and Technology, one of Chicago’s first 7-12 grade public charter schools on Chicago's West Side, for 12 years.
Sarah is a proud alumna of Whitney Young High School, a Chicago Public School. She holds a BA from the University of Michigan, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development from DePaul University, and a Type 75 administrative license.
