9th Grade Transition Workshop: Planning for a Robust High School Orientation

Join us virtually for an event that will engage 9th grade leaders and team members with insights from NCS networks' past orientations and interventions. We'll focus on adolescent development research and its impact on academic performance, as well as school practices that support the development of academic mindsets. 
Participants will gain the skills to lead planning sessions with their teams, connecting research to current and potential practices. This will extend beyond orientation, integrating into classroom environments to ensure a seamless transition for incoming freshmen. By attending this workshop, educators will be well-prepared to plan a supportive 9th grade transition year, ultimately enhancing the academic and social success of their students. 
Whether you're looking to refine existing practices or introduce new initiatives, this workshop offers a valuable opportunity to collaborate with peers and experts in the field, ensuring a robust and supportive transition for all incoming 9th graders.

COST & PARTICIPATION:

  • Standard Rate: $250 per person 
  • PSN or FS4E Educator: $0
Registering as:

If you are from a school in our Partner School Network (PSN) or Freshman Success for Equity Improvement Network (FS4E), the fee for this workshop is included in your partnership. No payment is required at this time. 

If you are not an FS4E or PSN educator, you will select the standard rate option and enter your credit card information on the next page.

Registrants who are unable to attend the 9th Grade Transition Workshop may request a full refund if NCS is notified of the cancellation at least 14 days prior to the event. Registrants canceling within 14 days of the event will not be eligible for a refund and must pay the registration cost regardless of attendance. 
Media Consent

By attending this event, I grant the Network for College Success (NCS) permission to take and publish photographs and video of me for future use for NCS's marketing purposes and/or materials. Marketing purposes and materials include, but are not limited to: promotional flyers and videos, the NCS website, NCS e-blasts, and social media outlets. In granting permission to NCS, I am aware that the use of my image and voice may be included in stories, photographs and/or video, related to and on behalf of NCS. I am also aware that NCS would have rights to use any stories, photographs, or videos at its discretion.
