Mary Ann Pitcher, Ed.D., is an education leader, coach, and consultant with over 30 years of experience advancing equity-centered school improvement, leadership development, and organizational change. She partners with schools, districts, and organizations to build the conditions for sustainable improvement and student success.
She co-founded and co-directed the University of Chicago’s Network for College Success, a nationally recognized research-practice partnership that supports high school leaders in organizing for improvement, raising graduation rates, and expanding postsecondary access. Earlier in her career, she co-founded and led a pioneering all-girls public school in Chicago and taught in Chicago Public Schools, where she created a school-within-a-school focused on career pathways.
With decades of experience in school transformation, Mary Ann empowers educators to achieve meaningful results for students. She remains committed to deepening her own equity stance, knowledge, will, and skill as a white educator working toward justice in education.
