Rachel Castro

Development Associate

Rachel Castro is the Development Associate with the UChicago Network for College Success (NCS). Prior to joining NCS, she was a Fulbright U.S. Student Fellow in Ecuador where she taught English at a university, worked with municipal programs that primarily served immigrants and refugees, and studied Kichwa. Rachel also has experience working in public libraries and with a pro bono legal aid nonprofit.
In addition to her work at NCS, she is a poet in residence at the Chicago Poetry Center. Rachel earned a BA in English literature from East Carolina University and an MFA in nonfiction writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is currently an MA student in Social Work, Social Policy, and Social Administration at the University of Chicago.
