Kate Pressler is a Transformation Coach with the UChicago Network for College Success (NCS). She is a passionate educator who is driven by the need for equitable education for all. From a young age, Kate was inspired by her own educational experiences, and the many educators in her family, to focus her efforts and career on advocating for all young people to have the opportunity to receive a high-quality education.
Kate began her career in the postsecondary realm while working for the GearUp Partnership between the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Public Schools. After making the move to Chicago, Kate joined Umoja Student Development Corporation, where she truly found her passion for supporting all students with pursuing and achieving their postsecondary goals. Prior to joining NCS, Kate served as the Chicago Public Schools Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) District Manager, where she was supporting schools, networks, and central office teams with developing and implementing the systems and structures to ensure ALL students had equitable access to high-quality instruction and the necessary academic and social-emotional supports to be successful.
She holds a B.A. in Anthropology and M.A. in Education from the University of Cincinnati. In her free time, Kate enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams, spending time with her family, and traveling. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Susana Lankai Debrah Educational Foundation, an organization working to equip Osu Presby Girls School, in Accra, Ghana with the materials and resources necessary to facilitate a world-class 21st Century learning environment.
